How much student loan are UK nationals eligible to receive?
For the 2025/26 academic year, UK nationals studying in England can receive a tuition fee loan of up to £9,535 per year and a maintenance loan of up to £13,762 to help with living costs
Types of Students finance loan-
1. Tuition fee loan: University or college determines the tuition fees and the loan is given directly to them. The loan needs to be repaid after studies.
2. Maintenance Loan: A maintenance loan is a type of student loan provided by the UK government to help eligible students cover their living costs while studying. It’s separate from the tuition fee loan, which pays for course fees. Eligible if, lived in the UK for 3+ years before the course starts and have settled status.
